Inaugural Teja Talks Speaker Series: A Memorable Evening of Insight, Innovation, and Networking
December 16, 2024What a year it’s been at Teja Spaces! From the ground up, we’ve witnessed incredible treasured moments of growth, transformation and connection. As we close out 2024, it’s the perfect time to look back at the exciting milestones that have shaped our journey. Here’s a recap of how Teja has evolved from a dream to a vibrant, thriving hub for professionals.
January – February: Laying the Foundation
In the first two months of the year, Teja Spaces was more than just an idea – it was under construction! Behind the scenes, we were working tirelessly to bring our vision to life, building a space designed to foster productivity, creativity and collaboration.
March: Official Launch & App Launch
In March, Teja Spaces officially opened its doors, and we welcomed our first members to explore our modern, distinctive, curated, flexible, tech-enabled workspace. Along with the launch, we introduced our Teja App – a tool designed to streamline our booking process and keep our community engaged with the latest happenings.
April: Website Launch
In April, we launched our website to make it easier for members to learn more about our space and get to join our community. The buzz around Teja grew, and we were beyond excited to welcome more professionals and entrepreneurs to experience our top-notch facility and services.
May: The Space is Alive
With the space officially up and running, our community continued to grow and it was rewarding to watch Teja transform into a lively hub where people from different industries could come together.
June: Our First Event – A Wine Tasting Experience
June was a month to remember, as we hosted our very first event at Teja Spaces: a Wine Tasting in collaboration with Le Decanter – a well known French gourmet and wine store committed to offering a quality range. The event was all about “The Art of French Wine,” and we had the privilege of hosting distinguished guests ranging from captains of industry and leading entrepreneurs.
July – September: Teja in Full Swing
By mid-year, Teja was in full action! We continued welcoming more members into our coworking space fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration. The space was buzzing with energy, and it was amazing to see different businesses and entrepreneurs thriving under one roof.
October: Big News for Future Construkt
In October, we celebrated a significant achievement for our sister company, Future Construkt, which was granted the Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) Manager License. This was a huge milestone for the team, and it reflects the innovative spirit that we’re all about at Teja. The news also strengthened our commitment to supporting and nurturing business growth, both within and outside of our space.
November: Hosted a Masterclass & Podcast Shooting
November was a month packed with exciting events and collaborations. We hosted a 3-day Masterclass by Bikozulu, a renowned Kenyan writer, publisher, and author. Currently Bikozulu is a writer with the Business Daily and The Saturday Nation among other notable publications.
Additionally, we had the honor of hosting Mary Wamae, the brilliant mind behind The Executive Table podcast. Mary Wamae, is an accomplished lawyer, businesswoman, senior corporate executive, coach and author, having recently stepped down from leadership roles at regional powerhouse, #EquityBank, where, over an esteemed 20-year tenure, rose to Group Director of Strategy, Legal Services and Company Secretary, and then to Group Executive Director.
December: The Launch of #TejaTalks
To wrap up the year, we launched #TejaTalks Speaker Series a forum that aims to bring together key corporate players for insightful discussions on various business topics that foster growth and innovation across sectors. The first #TejaTalks event, in partnership with Johnnie Walker Blue and The Kenyan Wall Street, featured an insightful discussion on Helping Brands Understand and Adapt to the Ever-changing Digital Environment. The forum was graced by the Chief Guest, Moses Kemibaro —Founder and CEO of Dotsavvy, Kenya’s first digital business agency and expertly moderated by Andrew Barden, CEO of The Kenyan Wall Street.
